Nutella filled cookies

ingredients:

• 1 cup butter • 1 cup nutella • 1 cup brown sugar • 2/3 cup sugar • 2 eggs • 1┬╜ teaspoons vanilla extract • 2┬╛ cups + 2 tablespoons flour • 2 teaspoons cornstarch • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 3/4 teaspoon salt • finely chopped chocolate bar or chocolate chips • sea salt for sprinkling

directions:

1. line a cookie sheet with saran wrap and drop nutella in 1 teaspoon sized dollops on the sheet. place in freezer while you prepare your dough. 2. cut butter into tablespoon sized pieces and melt over medium heat. once butter has melted, increase heat slightly. 3. swirl and scrape the sides of the pan often. butter will begin to bubble and pop and eventually turn brown. once the butter starts to get a nutty smell, remove from the burner and allow to cool completely in a heat safe mixing bowl. 4. preheat oven to 375 5. stir sugars into cooled butter. 6. stir eggs in one at a time. 7. stir in vanilla. 8. in a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. 9. gradually combine flour mixture and butter mixture. mix in chocolate 10. refrigerate dough for 15-20 minutes 11. take out dough and nutella. form dough balls by molding a 1┬╜ tablespoon sized scoop of dough around each dollop of nutella. freeze dough balls for 15 min. 12. place dough balls on parchment lined baking sheet and bake 12-13 minutes 13. sprinkle with sea salt
