Cinnamon Streusal Bread

ingredients:

• cinnamon sugar swirl • 1/2 cup brown sugar • 2 teaspoons cinnamon • pinch of salt • bread • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature • 1/3 cup brown sugar • 1/3 cup sugar • 2 large eggs • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract • 2 1/4 cups flour • 2 teaspoons baking powder • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda • 1 teaspoon cinnamon • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 cup buttermilk • cinnamon streusal topping • 1/3 cup brown sugar • 3/4 cup flour • 2 teaspoons cinnamon • 6 tablespoons butter, melted

directions:

1. preheat oven to 350┬░ and line a loaf pan with parchment paper 2. in a bowl mix together ingredients for cinnamon sugar swirl. set aside 3. cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy (~ 2 minutes) 4. scrape down sides of bowl. Add eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth and well combined 5. in a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt 6. Add about half of the dry ingredients and mix. Add the buttermilk and mix. Add the remaining dry ingredients and mix again 7. spoon half your batter into the pan and use greased rubber spatula to spread to edge. Add cinnamon sugar mixture. Add the rest of the batter and spread to edges. swirl batter with a knife 8. make the streusal topping combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add melted butter and mix until it clumps together and resembles wet sand 9. sprinkle streusal evenly on top of bread 10. bake for 55 minutes or until an inserted fork comes out clean
